Meeting Minutes December 6 , 2004

Meeting was
called to order at 7:00 pm by Donna
Minutes of the
previous meeting were passed out and comments requested.
It was noted that
the phone list has been updated but still not fully complete. Still some Names
required and this will be updated as we go. Also the points
forms were available for any of the committee groups to use in tabulating
points for volunteers.
Also available was
a list of students who signed up at the volunteer fair.

Fund
Raising – Kinsman assisting
with computer draw.
Tickets are printed and available to sell. There are dates in January for
student to sell tickets at various business establishments. It was confirmed
that Gould’s have donated the mini fridge.
Designated
Driver Program – Bookings have made $700 plus $130 in tips. 3
more bookings with 2 this Friday and 1 on Monday. Require adults to do
this one as it is on a school night and will be late.
There was a noted
problem in the past of collecting from private functions. It was suggested and
agreed that private functions will be asked to pay 50% of the projected fee up
front.
Coffee house – No updates. Next meeting
will be Dec 14th in Room 120. Ruth Eskritt
is organizing with Marcie Anderson doing the entertainment.
Decorating – Decorating committee has met once and
have planned to meet again after Christmas. There was a possible conflict with Moosefest, the walleye masters and safe grad but all has
been resolved. It was noted that we need to get a copy of the contract.

coffee house calls
School Council – Mr. Victor has noted he would like to receive copies
of the meeting minutes.

Items
Debbie Linquist has the word file along with the address database
for the business letters that have to go out after Christmas
Safe Grad
Points System
There was an
explanation on Grad points vrs Volunteer hours. You
can only collect grad points at a Safe Grad activity. In order for an activity
to be a Safe Grad activity it has to be recognized by the committee. Also a
student must fill their volunteer hours before they can collect grad points.
Points are awarded
for various activities.
Examples are
Attending a Safe
Grad Meeting – 2 points
Baking for a sale
or the coffee house – 3 points
Designated Driver
1 point per hour and 5 extra points for the vehicle
Other activities
such as ticket sales awarded 1 point per hour of activity.
